Separation & Divorce Support · Online in California & New York

Support for the parts of divorce that don’t end when the paperwork does.

The agreement settles the logistics. This is where you rebuild — as an individual, and as a family — everything separation and divorce disrupt but the paperwork doesn’t touch.

Who I Work With

Individual adjustment

Separation and divorce dissolve a marriage, but they don't dissolve the attachment system that marriage was built on.

Repair with an adult child

The parent–child attachment bond doesn't expire when a child grows up, and a divorce can damage it at any age.

Co-parenting relational work

Two people who are no longer partners still have to function as one reliable attachment system for their child.

Detached on paper isn’t the same as detached.

A separation can be finalized, amicable, even clearly the right decision — and your nervous system can still be oriented toward someone who is no longer there. It shows up as grief that arrives out of order, difficulty trusting a new relationship, or a harder time regulating around your kids than you’d expect.

None of that means you’ve handled this badly or moved too slowly. It’s how attachment works. The work is to meet it directly rather than wait for it to pass on its own.
